As Vice President and Managing Director of VCPI, Loren Claypool leads the company in its mission of Redefining the Culture of Care.™ With nearly 30 years as a business and technology leader, Claypool is responsible for overseeing all facets of the business operations. He works closely with VCPI’s clients and business partners and the application providers who provide solutions to the industry.

Claypool is passionate about helping VCPI’s clients improve the quality of care delivered to their residents and patients. He also strives to enhance the quality of the work experience and financial performance of their employees. His focus for VCPI’s clients is creating imbedded business technology strategies that complement their business strategies, providing enterprise-class solutions at affordable prices, creating efficiencies to reduce the cost out of care, delivering innovative solutions to create competitive advantage and unleashing information to enable better and faster business decisions.

Claypool has been with VCPI since 2003 and has experience in established operations and business startups in the insurance, healthcare, technology and retail industries. Prior to VCPI, he co-founded Amvista Group, a specialty workers compensation insurance company and was COO of American Workers Assurance. Claypool also held the roles of CIO and Sr. Vice President of eBusiness at USI Insurance Services; Global eBusiness Practice Leader at Royal and Sun Alliance and CIO of the RSA/USA Commercial Division; SVP Business Processes and CIO at EBI Companies; COO for Citynet Corporation, a pioneering Internet Service Provider; and Vice President of Information Services for Acordia National. He holds a Bachelor of Arts BOR and an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Science from West Virginia State College.
